Material: Stainless steel and bronze

This work was commissioned by Ramheath Properties for the front of a new retail development in Osmaston, Derby. The site was formerly the park of Osmaston Hall. Near to this site was a row of beech trees which led to the Hall. Little of the park remains; most was sold in the 18th century to allow Derby to develop its railway and engineering industries. The stainless steel ‘cog’ base shows, in the bronze, references to the park’s past and present use.
