Caerphilly Castle Waymarkers - 2005

Material: cast iron, stainless steel, brass and bronze.

1 metre diameter

8 large and 12 small waymarkers are set to the side of the perimeter path to the castle.

The large waymarkers are made of cast iron combined with stainless steel and brass.  The smaller ones are in bronze.

All the designs were produced with artwork made during workshops in four local schools, and depict aspects of the castle's origin, history and folklore.

The town council have produced a map guide with interpretation of the images.
