Sited next to the original fording point across the River Ythan where the town of Ellon was established.
Freshwater mussels, pearls and river plants make up the body of the sculpture. It sits on a base of locally-sourced granite, with bronze panels showing artworks created by local schoolchildren on the theme of The River Ythan.
