stainless steel, bronze.
A series of works to mark the depature and arrival points from local villages to the Flintshire coastal path.
Working with schools and local communities, themes connected to the villages were explored and translated into bronze castings. There are representations of dune plants and beach activities, a 10th century Viking coin with tools and stone from the local quarry, a miner's tally and fossilised fern representing coal mining along with mining tools, images relating to hunting and gathering from the estuary, woodland care and marsh plants, nature and biodiversity, the bridges over the River Dee, the canal, shipping and trade.
